It's hard to fit how I feel about Elvis Presley in just one paragraph, so I try to summarize in short. Elvis is one of the artists that really expanded my interest in music many years ago. He made me realize more than ever that music really is timeless and that songs that are now seventy years old are still as good now as they were back then. Elvis is also a huge role model for me, because beyond his voice, he has an image I really look up to. He was a Rock star before people even used that term. And of course, he is also the indisputable King of Rock and Roll, a term we still use, and a term that is still true.

If you want to listen to more than these twenty five songs, check out my MV Playlists, you find all my Elvis Presley songs on Playlist 35. For this Top List, I have a short description of why I like each song, but I primarily figure the songs will speak for themselves!
I hope you enjoy my top 25 favorite Elvis Presley songs!

#25 King Creole
Elvis Presley is the King of Rock and Roll, so for him to star in a movie (King Creole) with the word "King" in it makes sense. I must admit I haven't seen the movie, but if it is as good as the song written for it, I just has to be great.
#24 Surrender
This song is certainly worthy of this list, although hard to place. It's quite a standard Elvis song in many ways but I have to say I really love the start. The start gives me such "James Bond vibes", listen and see if you agree.
#23 Viva Las Vegas
Viva Las Vegas was much higher up on my Elvis song ranking for many years. I've been to Las Vegas a few times and I do love the city. However, this song has been sort of overplayed over the years and it dropped a bit, although it's great.
#22 In The Ghetto
One of Elvis more calm songs and one of his best calm songs as well. The lyrics are very powerful and it's hard not to get affected by them. Just like the last entry though, this song has been a bit overplayed to get a higher spot for now.
#21 Long Lonely Highway
This is an entry that has grown on me recently and might even climb more. I can't say exactly what I like about it, it's simply a very solid Elvis song, and a song that I often play when I drive on a highway myself, which I think fits well.
#20 Stuck On You
Stuck On You is a song that can turn any frown into a smile, it just has that happy "it will be okey" vibe to it. In fact, as I write this, I consider putting it higher on the list, but the quality and competition is simply too fierce on this list.
#19 Tutti Frutti
I have always liked this song, regardless of what version I hear. Picking between Elvis version and Little Richard's version is exceptionally hard, I would say it's a tie between them. Either way, this is a song I seemingly just can't get enough of.
#18 Blue Suede Shoes
Another song that simply puts you in a good mood. It's hard to describe exactly what I like, I suppose some descriptions simply have a boring answer: It's just good. Tho, I really like the drums, they kind of stick out to me in this one.
#17 Always On My Mind
This is a song that has been recorded by many artists and Elvis version was probably the first version to be super popular and also a personal favorite. Pet Shop Boys did it great years later but they simply cannot match the great Elvis!
#16 Santa Bring My Baby Back
I know what you might think, it's a bit strange to put a Christmas song this high on the list. But I simply can't get over how catchy and well made this is. Music like this song is one of the highlights of the holiday for me!
#15 Unchained Melody
The best way to describe this song is simply using one word: Beautiful! It's without a doubt a phenomenal song and placing it was hard. Maybe it deserves a better spot but he has so many great songs that I actually like even more.
#14 It's Now Or Never
It's Now Or Never is a song I find both beautiful and also very inspirational. There is something about the lyrics that really gives me motivation. I guess life is short and precious and this song reminds us of that in a very good way.
#13 All Shook Up
I don't know why, but I always thought this was extremely similar to "Stuck On You". They have many similarities, and this one also makes me very happy. And there is also something I like even more about this one, hence the placement.
#12 Don't Be Cruel
A few years ago, this wasn't that high on my song rankings but recently I found the cover version by Cheap Trick which made me really appreciate and love this song (both versions). Now it's even a candidate for my top ten.
#11 Devil In Disguise
An old favorite of mine that seems to never get old. I love the music in this one but of course it's the lyrics that stand out the very most. It could easily have been on my top ten but falls just short due to very tough competition.
#10 Joshua Fit The Battle
This one has sort of a Gospel-vibe to it but it's still a phenomenal song. It has remained a favorite of mine for many years and I can't get enough of the fast-paced melody, I can't dance at all but I still want to when I hear this!
#9 King of the Whole Wide World
King Of The Whole Wide World was originally written for a movie, Kid Galahad. However, I think it would have fit even better as a description of Elvis himself. No other title can describe Elvis Presley better than this!
#8 A Little Less Conversation
The first time I heard this song; it was a remix version in a Nike commercial that featured a lot of football stars. As a kid I found the remix to be awesome, but as an adult I've realized that I love the original version even more!
#7 If I Can Dream
Placing this song is nearly impossible. My top seven songs are more or less equal and some days I would say this is a top three song. He may only have performed it once, yet it's still one of his most powerful performances ever recorded.
#6 Bossa Nova Baby
Bossa Nova Baby is another song that was written for a movie, Fun In Acapulco. And it surely fits the title, because this is indeed a fun song. It has that perfect happy-positive vibe that I love and a song I can listen to every single day!
#5 Burning Love
I've mentioned some songs on this list that puts you in a happy mood, but this might just be the best mood setter of them all. It has that perfect "life is awesome" vibe to it and I can't imagine anyone ever disliking this song.
#4 Can't help falling In Love
For nearly a decade this was my absolute favorite Elvis song and it's of course still a candidate. It's the Elvis song with the most views on YouTube and I understand why, but I simply think he made three better songs, believe it or not!
#3 His Latest FLame
The bronze medal on this list goes to His Latest Flame. I do love the melody but it's the lyrics that I find to be the most awesome. You sympathize completely with the story in the song, it's so real life and human, simply superb lyrics!
#2 Return To Sender
This song skyrocketed on this list in recent years. I always liked it but after listening to it a lot with my brother (it's his favorite song), he made me realize just how awesome it is. It's definitely close to being my favorite as well!
#1 Suspicious Minds
Picking the number one song was no easy task with so many candidates. Eventually I landed on this one. The melody is powerful, and the lyrics are deep and relatable. It's a logical choice to put this masterpiece at number one!
