I really hope you have liked the content so far! I know you are here to listen and to interact with the different sections, not to read, but I want to share a little information about me and the site.

The name's Danny. I was born in the late
eighties in Sweden. I was introduced to Rock
at an early age, as my father (not always to
my mother's liking) always blasted music at
every chance he got. Artists like Creedence
Clearwater Revival, Don Henley and Queen
were some of the bands I was introduced to
first and I was instantly hooked and started
listening to Rock myself as often as I could.

In high school, something happened that
drastically changed my life forever. I got
way into music videos, as my dad had
bought around 30 different DVD's with his
(and mine) favorite bands at the time. I grabbed some friends, and I grabbed some beers, and every weekend was basically paradise for a few years. After high school, I moved on to college and music sort of became secondary for a while due to a lot of studies and other activities. I still listened to music a lot but rarely watched music videos and considered myself a "casual viewer" for a few years even after college, until the pandemic hit in 2020.

During the pandemic, while being isolated inside, I rediscovered my love for music videos. However, as I spent most of the pandemic at my summer house, it wasn't practical to move the DVD's all the time, so I started making YouTube playlists. I went from having a few hundred music videos I watched regularly, to having thousands. However, I wanted to do something more
with these playlists. Having a background in
journalism and communication (mostly on
the internet), I got the idea for a website,
and Danny's Lair was born.

The site focus on Rock Music, and more
specifically, the bands and artists that I
personally love, mostly from the 70's and
the 80's. In the
Music Collection, I want to
share with you my favorites, so that you
can hopefully find new artists and songs to
enjoy, as well as some information about
each artist. This is followed up with

Music Trivia
, an even nerdier section, where you can find rare, strange and fun facts about the artists featured on the site. I also have Music Top Lists, to narrow my favorite music down even further, to bring you what I think is the best of the best! Soon, with the coming update, there will also be a Podcast up and running, where I ramble on about Rock Music, for those who might be interested.

But the core of the site has become the
Music Games. You got your standard Music Quizzes that I've made, that are popular at bars and other places, a standard fun activity. I also have a game called Robot Lyrics that is a lyrics guessing game. And then you got the Music Crosswords. In Sweden, every Saturday at 10:00, a program called "Melodikrysset" is played on
Swedish radio, where you fill in answers on
a crossword in your newspaper. This has
become quite popular and I really like it
myself. However, there is too much music
featured that I don't like, as it's aiming for a
broad audience. Therefore, I got inspired to
make my own, focusing on the music I love.
If you love rock and also like creative music
games, I think you will really enjoy these!

So that's it, that's the site! If you like it,
share it with your friends or why not help
improve it by contacting me over at

Contact or by using Recommend Music to add more music, so the site can rock even more! You can also visit my YouTube Channel at any time, to access my playlists directly. Keep an eye on Home for updates, I have big plans for the future, and a lot of new stuff will come soon, you find more information what's coming over at Home.

I also got to mention that this site was made with Wix (wix.com), which I think (and I don't get paid saying this) is the best website editor on the web! Further, as a legal notice, I own none of the music I mention or link to, it's all owned by their respective record labels/studios, bands and/or artists. None of the songs or videos are edited by me in any way. All images of the bands and artists in the top lists are free to use images from Wikimedia Commons. I have made all buttons, banners, graphics etc. for the site myself. This website is entirely for entertainment purposes, I make absolutely no money by running the site or from any of its content. With all that said, I really hope you enjoy this Rock fan site, my lair!

Don Henley was one of the first artists I ever listened
to as a kid and he is still a favorite of mine.

This is Danny's Lair, a fun-focused fansite that celebrates the greatest thing
we got on planet Earth: Rock Music!

It's not much in life that beats watching a Music Video
by an awesome band, while enjoying an ice cold beer.

Music Crossword Puzzles are popular in Sweden and are

a big reason to why I made this website.
