Making this top list is one of the hardest challenges I have had to overcome yet. Picking 100 songs in a list of thousands was certainly not easy but I have tried my best to pick them. My favorite songs change on a regular basis and if you ask me next month the list might look different. However, the way I did this was to make a top 150 list three times and then use the 100 songs that appeared on the most for the actual top 100 list to get some consistency.
Next year though, everything could change, which is why I named this list "2025 Edition", although most of these songs were picked in 2024 already. If possible, I will try to update this list every year or at least every other year, but in all honesty, more than half of these songs are permanently there to stay and will probably never be replaced as long as I live.
For this list, anything goes, there are not many rules. All songs in the world qualify, regardless of style and genre or subgenre. The only rule I have applied for this list is to only include a maximum of five songs per band or artist, in order to make the list a bit more fun. If I didn't have that rule, as an example, there would be over ten Roxy Music songs on the list, which would not be that helpful for you to find some variety of songs and hopefully some new favorites yourself. Songs by the same band/artist might also appear in a different order than in their own Top 10/25 list, as I made this list the most recent. The other lists will be updated eventually.

For this Top List, unlike the other Top 10/Top 25 top lists, I will not have a short description of why I like each song as it would be too hard to compare 100 songs to each other due to many having different subgenres of rock etc. I will simply list them in order and the reason why I love each could be anything this time around!
