Top 10 Status Quo Songs

Status Quo was one of the bands that I discovered in High School, during our pre-parties where we watched a lot of Music Videos. My friends never liked this band for some reason, but I managed to get a few songs every night at least, cause this band is great and a bit underrated. They were, are and will always be a band I value a lot!

#10 IN THE ARMY NOW

I don't know why, but this song somehow reminds me of another band I love, Dire Straits. The melody is a bit, in lack of other words, melancholic, and it really works. The lyrics are also great in this one. Simply a very solid Status Quo song.

#9 PICTURES OF MATCHSTICK MEN

A song from the early days of Status Quo. However, even though it's a bit different from most of their songs, it still holds up very well after all these years. The guitar performance in this one is also very pleasant and hard to get enough of.

#8 Fun Fun Fun

The number eight song on this list lives up to its name, this one is a lot of fun! The cooperation with The Beach Boys (that also made the original version) works so well and this version is my absolute favorite! It's fun, fun and fun!

#7 CAROLINE

The first time I heard Caroline I didn't think that much of it. However, it is one of my father's favorites and after he played it for me enough times, I then slowly started to like it and now it's even a candidate to be on my top five!

#6 GERDUNDULA

This was my favorite Status Quo song for many years, and I still enjoy it a lot even though it dropped to spot six. I just love the guitar in this one and if you can find the Music Video, they show quite an impressive guitar feat in it!

#5 LIES

I would lie if I said Lies wasn't a candidate for my favorite Status Quo song but the list is getting very tight, and they have many top hits. What I like the most about this one has to be the lyrics, although all parts of it are great.

#4 WHAT You're Proposing

Here is a proposition: "Put this song, What You're Proposing, on number four on this list!" Do you agree? Well, whether you do or not, I'm adding this as my number four, with a melody like this, it's simply too awesome to not be here!

#3 Jam Side Down

Jam Side Down is to me a typical Status Quo song yet a good example of why I like this band so much. It has a nice melody, fun lyrics and if you can find it, an awesome Music Video. What more can I say, it's a top-notch song!

#2 Rockin All Over The World

One of Status Quo's most iconic song, and a song that I recently started absolutely loving. It's always been a song I liked, but after re-watching Live Aid, I sort of realized what an absolute masterpiece this song really is! Easily one of their best!

#1 ROLLIN' HOME

The first time I heard this song I was hooked and I still am. I just love everything about this. It's Status Quo at their finest and it has all that one can ask for, great instruments, lyrics and vocals. What more can one ask for in a song?
