Motörhead is a band that I heard long ago but I never considered them more than average. Man, was I a fool! Over the years I started to like them more and more, and now they are a go-to Heavy Metal band for me. Lemmy is a genius of Rock and Motörhead has some of the coolest Rock songs that I ever heard!
If you want to listen to more than these ten songs, check out my Playlists, you find all my Motörhead songs on Playlist 17. For this Top List, I have a short description of why I like each song, but I primarily figure the songs will speak for themselves!
I hope you enjoy my top 10 favorite Motörhead songs!

#10 Hellraiser
You might associate this song with Ozzy Osbourne as he co-wrote it with Lemmy (and Zakk Wylde). Both versions are great, but I got to say that my favorite is the Motörhead version, since I am such a big fan of Lemmy Kilmister's voice.
#9 Overkill
Overkill is really a big adrenaline rush, as it maintains its tempo and power from the start to the very end. They display a great guitar performance as well as a job well done (as always) by Lemmy. In short, this is a very solid Motörhead song.
#8 Iron Fist
Iron Fist, like many Motörhead songs, has a powerful melody with high tempo, which I always appreciate. Something that I like a little extra with this song is the drum performance, I feel Phil Taylor shows one of his best performances.
#7 Doctor Rock
Many people don't like hospitals due to "scary" doctors. However, this one, Doctor Rock, is a doctor I want to meet every day! This song has it all, and every time I hear it, it becomes better. I will most likely rise on this list over time.
#6 Rock 'N' Roll
This is a song that may at first glance appear as an average Motörhead song. However, what makes me love this one is the lyrics. The line "I'm in love with rock 'n' roll, It satisfies my soul" is a line that truly describes my life, I can fully relate!
#5 Enter Sandman
I don't have that many covers on my Top Lists, but sometimes I have to make exceptions. Enter Sandman is amazing when performed by Metallica, but I have to say, it's pretty much equally awesome when performed by Motörhead!
#4 When the sky comes looking for you
This is one of the last songs Motörhead ever made, as it was featured on their very last album, Bad Magic. It really shows that Motörhead was a band for the ages, as they managed to maintain super high quality for many, many decades!
#3 Heroes
I know, another cover, but I just can't leave this out. It's one of the best, if not the best cover of David Bowie's possibly best song, and Motörhead does such an amazing version. It's not surprising that it's their most viewed song on YouTube.
#2 1916
This song is something else. It's calmer than most of their songs but that's not a bad thing when they have such deep and meaningful lyrics. It's one of the best and most powerful songs ever about wars and even got a cover by Sabaton.
#1 Ace of Spades
This is arguably Motörhead's biggest, and most recognized hit song. And I just have to agree with the masses, this one is absolutely amazing. It has everything that makes a Motörhead song great and then some. An absolute masterpiece!
