I was first introduced to David Bowie while listening to the song Under Pressure, which was made by Queen and David. And after that he started to grow on me, more and more every year, especially since the music reminds me of my all-time favorite band Roxy Music. Nowadays, he is an artist I would even rank among my favorites!

If you want to listen to more than these ten songs, check out my Playlists, you find all my David Bowie songs on Playlist 7. For this Top List, I have a short description of why I like each song, but I primarily figure the songs will speak for themselves!

I hope you enjoy my top 10 favorite David Bowie songs!

#10 Suffragette City
Suffragette City does, in my opinion, not sound like a typical David Bowie song. However, it has a fantastic stomp, amazing drums and a solid vocal performance as always. All and all, this is a great song and a good way to kick this top list off.
#9 STARMAN
Starman is one of David Bowie's biggest hits and it's certainly a great one. Some of you probably wanted it higher on this list but I think Bowie has so many amazing songs that I simply cannot put it higher, though it is a great song for sure!
#8 LIFE ON MARS?
Another huge hit by Bowie and one I've started to like more and more over the years. The lyrics are fantastic and this sone also features some of my favorite vocal performances by David. This song is very likely to climb the list in the future!
#7 KOOKS
This is by far the most underrated David Bowie song on this list and a candidate for the most underrated of all of his songs. I don't know exactly why, but I love this one, and it deserves far more attention as it's of the highest quality!
#6 REBEL REBEL
Rebel Rebel is also a song that has grown on me over the years. In the beginning I didn't like it very much but the more I listened to it, the more I liked it. Now it's even a candidate for my top five but falls short due to even better Bowie songs.
#5 SORROW
This one has it all, great lyrics, vocals and instruments which includes a great performance of both saxophone and violins, and it all works fantastically together. Simply put, it's a great song and a worthy entry on my top five.
#4 MODERN LOVE
Modern Love is a good example (together with entry one and two as well) of how good David Bowie remained in the 1980's and shows he wasn't just amazing in the 70's. It's simply a near flawless song and a candidate to even be on my top three.
#3 HeROES
I would argue that this is David Bowie's biggest and most popular song and for good reason. This is simply amazing in every way. It was even featured on the Queen Tribute Concert, as one of few non-Queen songs, that speaks quality!
#2 BLUE JEAN
Another amazing 80's song by Bowie. I love the song, and the Music Video is also superb! I also think this is very underrated and is rarely featured on "best of Bowie top lists". I had to change that, because this is, in my opinion, a masterpiece!
#1 ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS
I have no idea if the movie this song was made for was any good, but who cares, this song is absolutely awesome. It's even a candidate for my favorite song of all time from any artist. Just enjoy it below, I can never get enough of it myself!
